Chris Matthews Obama Birth Certificate: Why Hasn’t Obama DEMANDED It ?

My. My. The Left has claimed that Obama has already released the pertinent birth certificate he needs to prove his natural-born status, but today Chris Matthews is acknowledging that is not true. He is asking why Barack Obama has not “demanded” the long-form birth certificate. Matthews makes it clear that he is not a birther, in fact is an enemy of birthers, nevertheless, he wants the same thing the birthers want, proof of the president’s natural-born status. Updated with video.

Chris Matthews Birther?

Business Insider:

Said Matthews producing examples of the Hawaiian long-form birth certificate and the digital one that Obama has released: “Why has the president himself not demanded that they put out the initial documents?”

Why indeed.  As the Tribune‘s Clarence Page points out, the president presumably has more important things to do.

Yes, but then why do so many people profess to be skeptical about Obama’s birthplace?  Asks Matthews:  “Are you saying 43% of the country is incorrigibly stupid, or resistant to truth?”…

The solution, according to Matthews?  Produce the birth certificate.

“Don’t we want to know if he can find it? I don’t know why the Governor doesn’t say, ‘snap it up, whoever is there in the Department of Records, send me a copy right now. And why doesn’t the president just say, ‘send me a copy right now’?”

Hawaii’s new Democrat governor, Neil Abercrombie, has said he will prove Obama was born in the State. The State is forbidden by law to release the actual birth certificate without a request from Barack Obama, which Obama has refused to do…obviously, for some reason.

USA Today:

For Abercrombie, it’s personal. The 72-year-old governor actually knew Obama’s parents, Barack Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham, when they were young university students in Hawaii. He told The New York Times that questioning where the president was born is “an insult to his mother and to his father.”

Abercrombie has told the Times’ Sheryl Gay Stolberg, CNN’s Ed Henry and others that he’s asked the state attorney general and health officials to determine what additional information he can release to prove that Obama was born in Hawaii on Aug. 4, 1961. (Oval note to self: big birthday coming up next year.)

“He’s a big boy. He can take sticks and stones,” Abercrombie told the Times. “But there’s no reason on earth to have the memory of his parents insulted by people whose motivation is solely political.”

To CNN, the governor said, “It’s a matter of principle with me. I knew his mom and dad. I was here when he was born. Anybody who wants to ask a question honestly could have had their answer already.”

But Abercrombie is wrong. Obama isn’t big enough to continue infiltrating the Oval Office if he is not natural-born. The correct question is Matthews: why has Obama not demanded the release of proper documents.

The correct logic is, Obama was probably born in the U.S. but with his hidden records, his aliases (or perhaps they were legal names), with his sealed passports and travel to Indonesia, if there was no reason not to release the signed birth certificate, he would have released it by now. In the video, David Corn says if the birth certificate said to be in storage in Hawaii can be found, find it and release it.

Perhaps the story is being set-up to put Hawaii in a postion to simply say the record cannot be found.

We have Chris Matthews asking why Obama has not DEMANDED the release of actual proof of natural-born status (admitting that the bc released has no merit) and a new Governor who wants to save the reputation of Obama’s maternal grandparents. Have stranger things happened? Yes, including the Senate’s refusal to demand the proof to qualify Obama under the U.S. Constitution. That’s the strangest of all, and is perhaps criminal.

Chris Matthews: Why hasn’t Obama Demanded Release of His Real Birth Certificate (video)

Debbie at Right Truth linked. Thanks!

  • In the footage from Hardball when Matthews makes this shocking statement, the response from the “tool” from the Chicago Tribune says “well, Obama has a lot more important things to be doing!” And if that isn’t a prime example of this insulation this President has received, I don’t know what is.

Matthews also said he is “an enemy of the Birthers” but even this clown is fed up with what is the stonewalling of the century – if there was this same controversy with the GOP candidate in 2012, Matthews would be screaming and that vein in his forehead would be about to burst.

  • Hi Holger, I tried to embed the video. For some reason the embeds beginning with
iframe won’t embed for me. I did just successfully add the video though. The “he doesn’t have time” argument is ignorant. It should have been demanded from the Senate early in the race, when Obama had no power to refuse.

  • We dunno, why don’t you ask him Twinkles, er, Tingles lol

  • I believe Obama was born in Hawaii but is using the issue as kook bait. It’s a lesson he learned from the Clintons.

    • Thank you! I’ve been saying that for a while now. All the birthers are wasting a ton of time and coin chasing a red herring. Why should Obama interfere? It’s manpower and resources that are not being spent fighting his agenda.

  • Silver and Matt, I agree with you both, but we really do not know why he will not provide the information when his passport records are sealed for some reason. The real problem is that we now know our government can choose not to verify a natural born status.

    What protects our presidency?

Obama should not have the choice to interfere. It should not be up to him. Natural born status verification should have been demanded before he had any power, before his name went on any the national ticket. No American should have to think twice about natural born status in an election.

  • how awful that no one cares that he is illegitimate Mag..arg!!

  • I’m sure the Left won’t have any kind of issue when the GOP runs a Presidential candidate who is 29 years old, right?

    • Holger, they’ll surely provide the b/c to prove that he’s 35.

  • I think the whole thing is a well crafted distraction, especially in the beginning.

  • Hmmmm….Is the Left getting ready to turn on Obama?

Silverfiddle said: I believe Obama was born in Hawaii but is using the issue as kook bait.

I used to think that. But so much time has gone by since this issue of the birth certificate first came up (2008, I think).

    • AOW, I think it’s a distraction, but an uncomfortable for Obama. He has nothing to gain but the adoration of the kooks, and the building disdain of every sensible voting American. There are plenty of his. If he has the b/c and if he’s trying to provoke controversy that will later show conservatives to be foolish, the issue bigger than foolishness is his disrespect for this country and the office of the president.
