Oklahoma Earthquake Luther Oklahoma

November 24, 2010

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake centered near Luther, Oklahoma was felt about 30 minutes ago. I did not feel this one but my sister-in-law did, living four houses up from me. While Oklahoma routinely has earthquakes, usually no one feels them. In the last few months, we’ve now had three that have left their impression on the state. No reports of damage or injuries at this time. Details when available.

    Maggie,

That wasn’t an earthquake. That was American Patriots from Oklahoma knocking on the door of CAIR-Oklahoma’s Director, looking to speak with him about his lawsuit regarding the Anti-Sharia amendment.

Holger, great comment. I did some research and actually the earthquake capability in Oklahoma is quite interesting. I think I’ll do a post about it.

Earthquake? Or some d-rat belching still from the Nov.2 clubbing.
I hope you and yours have a great Thanksgiving Maggie!

That could be it Randy, thing is, we don’t have too many d-rats in Oklahoma – at least that ever get elected.

Wow Maggie. I didn’t know there was that much seismic activity out your way. I don’t know of any faults out there, or am I wrong?

Matt, we have the Meers fault that has quite a bit of activity, but the biggest quake in, I think, our history was only 5.2 or 5.5. Most of them happen where there is low population, but in that one things feel off walls and some chimneys collapsed.
