Fox News just announced that a person of interest, Shahzad Faisal, is now in custody in connection to the failed car bomb in Times Square this weekend. Shahzad Faisal or Faisal Shahzad, is reportedly 30 years old, lives in Connecticut, is a naturalized citizen, and recently made a trip to Pakistan. More as details are available.
This may totally unrelated, but there is a Facebook page under the name Shahzad Faisal.
12:07 a.m. May 4th, Major Garrett is reporting that there is significant evidence that there are international connections to the failed bombing.
Greta van Susteren made it clear that Shahzad Faisal is more than a person of interest, and he is under arrest.
Katherine Herridge is affirming that Shahzad Faisal is a naturalized citizen of the U.S.
We’ve heard today that a white man walking down an alley about 1/2 block from where the car bomb was found, might be a person of interest. Doesn’t sound Shahzad Faisal is a white man.
12:30 a.m. CDT: Attorney General Eric Holder just held a surprising press conference (short), and made it clear that the investigation is ongoing, there are other leads being pursued.
