NOAA Global Warming Announcement Cancelled due to Blizzard

Yet another government office to fund, at the direction of the Obama administration. Taxpayer monies will now flow to a new office created to “educate people about the difference between the climate and the weather.” Today’s official announcement was delayed due a blizzard.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which is a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, will “unify” its climate change research capabilities into one office. The organization will be headquartered in Washington, D.C. with 6 regional directors.

It has something to do with Nobel Peace Prize winners (can you figure it out?):

NOAA Climate Service will encompass a core set of longstanding NOAA
capabilities with proven success. The climate research, observations,
modeling, predictions and assessments generated by NOAA’s top
scientists – including Nobel Peace Prize award-winners – will continue
to provide the scientific foundation for extensive on-the-ground
climate services that respond to millions of requests annually for data
and other critical information.

NOAA Climate Service replaces the National Climatic Data Center. A new portal launched today, and you will find your own Global Climate Dashboard here.
