Dr. Henrik Svensmark was standing at a podium on the COP15 stage in Copenhagen when the “warming” skeptic suffered a heart attack. See a video below.
A debate was underway on Danish TV when:
The 41 year old Henrik Svensmark
made an awkward spasm/shudder and burst out a strange noise, sounding
like a cough. The other participants in the debate looked baffled and
he mumbled: “It’s my heart,” and fell to the ground and the pacemaker
kicked in once more and you could hear him scream.
Bjrøn Lomborg yelled “call an ambulance, call an ambulance” and the host and the other participants came over to help the man.
His current condition is reported as “steady.”
Svensmark is a physicist at the Danish National Space Research Institute (DSRI), and director of the Center for Sun-Climate Research at DSRI. He studies solar wind, and the effects of cosmic rays on cloud formations. A Danish television documentary on Dr. Svensmark’s theory, The Cloud Mystery premiered January 2008.
