Just as Obama cut Zionish-leaning, pro-Israel Jews from a White House meeting in July, he is downgrading the White House Hanukkah party by cutting the size down to half of past years’ celebrations.
In a White House that has kicked-up partying big-time, the Hanukkah celebration has been cut by half. In July 2009, when Obama finally invited Jewish American leaders to the White House, the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), the largest and oldest pro-Israel group were not invited, as well as CAMERA (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting). Morton Klein, the president of ZOA said he had criticized Obama on his Israel position, and was not invited to meet with the president.
The White House hosts huge parties, these days, but…:
As the White House prepares for its annual Chanukah party and
candle-lighting, many previous attendees are going to find themselves
left in the dark as the number of invitations is set to shrink to half of last year’s….
Given the current climate, the Jewish official continued, “The pressure
on the White House to have the right people at the Chanukah party is
going to be enormous.”
We’ll see if ZOA is included in the smaller Canukah festivities at the White House.
