The Muhammad named above in the title is a Black Muslim convert born and bred in America and raised as Carlos Bledsoe. He traveled to Yemen to train in jihad. He gunned down two U.S. Army soldiers in Little Rock, AR, killing one and wounding the other. If charges are accurate, he is an American-turned-Muslim soldier killer, and he says he wanted to kill more. See videos and an UPDATE below.
Muhammad/Bledsoe moved to Little Rock from Memphis about three months ago according to the Arkansas Times. He doesn’t like the U.S. Military – “he has a disagreement with military operations” in Iraq and Afghanistan.
At this point,” LRPD Chief Stuart Thomas said, “we believe that it’s associated with his disagreement over military operations. We believe that primarily it is a religious disagreement, and that he has a dislike for military personnel and military actions.
The terrorist fired shots into an occupied building, so we could have seen multiple murders. He is charged with 1 count of capital murder and 15 counts of a “terroristic act.” Yea! for the Arkansas police who dared use the word “terroristic.”
President Barack Obama called out the U.S. Marshals to protect abortion providers and clinics. Attorney General Eric Holder posted a statement pledging to “bring the perpetrator of this crime to justice.” Now a Black Muslim convert kills a soldier while on duty, and another is injured, the day after President Obama announces Congressman John McHugh as his new Secretary of the Army. During the press conference, at no time did Obama mention the murdered soldier, or the injured soldier – or did he make any mention of the crime against our military. Neither did Eric Holder issue any promises to bring the perpetrator to justice, or send out the U.S. Marshalls to protect recruiting stations.
Both killers were caught almost immediately, yet Holder promised to bring only one to justice. The Washington Times quotes Jim Kouri, Vice President of the National Association of Cheifs of Police, and he is “surprised” that we not hearing more reports about this. Well, Mr. Kouri isn’t alone. Many of us are wondering about it as well.
According to Mr. Kouri, the problem of radical recruitment among the black population is severe. “They proselytize young people who are persistently being told by society that they have been victimized,” he said. “And young people are constantly looking for structure in their lives. Islam provides that structure.” He said this particular brand of Islamic radicalism “also appeals to the tough street mentality, the macho males and submissive females, and, of course, potential for violence.” Jihadist recruitment in America’s prisons is ongoing. Yet with respect to this most recent incident, Mr. Kouri says, “nobody seems to care, at least not in the media.
From the Washington Times editorial:
There is a fundamental blind spot in some circles as to the threat posed by homegrown Muslim radicals. The March Department of Homeland Security Domestic Extremist Lexicon, which was pulled quickly in the wake of controversy with other department publications, was noteworthy for listing Jewish extremism and various forms of Christian extremism but making no mention of any form of Muslim extremism.
The editorial theorizes that with Obama leaving on his “goodwill tour” it would be “awkward to discuss a radical jihadist attack in the middle of the United States,” and says that maybe Obama will have time for this when he arrives back in the U.S. The question is: what about all the past months and years that the media could have been reporting on Islamic extremism?
The soldier who died is was 23-year-old Pvt. William Long of Conway, Arkansas. The injured soldier is Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula. Thankfully, it is reported that he is still in-hospital, is stable and his injuries are not life-threatening. Both men were just out of their basic training. They were not Army recruiters but were at the recruiting station to talk to prospective soldiers and to tell them about their basic training experiences.
Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad was driving a black vehicle described as an SUV. He just opened fire on the soldiers with an SKS assault rifle and he said he fully intended to kill them, in fact, he would have killed more if he could, he told police. Reports say that about 15 people were inside the recruiting station at the time.
According to court documents, Muhammad told detectives he recently viewed a video pertaining to subversive activities which spurred him to commit this act. Police took several rounds of ammunition and assault rifle from his vehicle. They took a safe and a paper with Arabic writing from his apartment.
How do these people drive expensive vehicles like this? Did he have a job? If so, no one is talking about it. Maybe his funding comes from Yemen.
According to ABC News, Abdulhaikim Mujahid Muhammad has been under FBI investigation – the FBI’s Joint Terrorist Task Force – since returning to the U.S. from Yemen. He was carrying a false Somali passport and was arrested at that time. The same report says Muhammad had “ties to a number of global locations linked to extremists, including Yemen, Somalia and Columbus, OH.
The first video below is a witness’s compelling story and the second is raw video of the crime scene, including one soldier being carried to an ambulance.
