It’s about time! I hope this is a sign that the McCain campaign is letting her speak out about the issues Conservatives know make a great deal of difference – issues that speak to the core of Barack Obama.
The Washington Post’s The Trail, reported that Palin “does like the MSM after all…,” referring to Palin’s interview with Fox News’ Carl Cameron when she admitted she was “annoyed” with Katie Couric and the MSM for failing to ask the questions that reflect issues voters care about.
But today in Englewood, CO., Palin cited the NYT as evidence Barack Obama pals around with “terrorists who target their own country.”
Chastised for failing to cite Supreme Court decisions she disagreed with, and glossing over media she personally reads, Palin uses the MSM to make her point:
Well, I was reading my copy of today’s New York Times and I was really interested to read about Barack’s friends from Chicago,” Palin told the crowd, “Turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man who, according to The New York Times was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, ‘launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol.’
These are the same guys who think patriotism is paying higher taxes. This is not a man who sees America as you and I do — as the greatest force for good in the world. This is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country. This, ladies and gentlemen, has nothing to do with the kind of change anyone can believe in — not my kids and not your kids.”
Palin is spot-on!
WaPo goes on to point out that the NYT really only reveals a “casual” realtionship between Obama and Ayers. Well, yes, that would be the NYT, and it’s a whopper is ever there was one.
This is a day of celebration for me. A Republican capable of getting some press time is talking about Barack Obama and his radical and unsavory ties. I’m ready for more. Sarah bring it on!
Take a minute and re-read her statement. Now, that’s powerful!
